Hammond directs Ray Winstone's car chase in The Sweeney

We’re already nearly halfway through Series 18 of Top Gear, with episode 3 on tonight. Looking to put a charge in its eco-friendly image, General Motors is installing a 264,000-square-foot solar field at the Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid sedan. The solar field, being built in cooperation with utility DTE Energy, will generate 516 kilowatts. GM says that’s enough power to charge up 150 Volts every day for a year.
Hyundai will price its 2012 Sonata hybrid at $26,610, including shipping charges, the company said. That's a $55 bump from the 2011 model. Hyundai's Blue Link telematics system will come standard on the hybrid.
